FIRMWARE RESTORE TOOLS

CASE 1: FAILED UPDATE DURING GRAPHICAL INTERFACE INSTALLATION

If, following a failed update, your LMDASH gets stuck on a white screen for more than 5 minutes (progress bar not advancing or message “NO DATA”):

1 – Reset the device by inserting a paperclip into the hole located to the left of the screen and wait a few minutes. Starting from eLMOS Build 28, an emergency recovery procedure for the graphical interface has been introduced.
If nothing happens, proceed to step 2.

2 – Format a micro SD card in FAT32 format and copy onto it the file downloaded from the following link: GUI FILE
3 – Turn off LMDASH (remove the key) and insert the prepared SD card (from step 2) into the upper right part of the dashboard (you’ll need to remove it from the binnacle).
4 – Power the device by connecting a USB cable or turning the key to ACC position
5 – Wait for the loading process to complete
6 – Turn off LMDASH (remove the key and/or disconnect the USB cable)
7 – Remove the SD card
8 – Connect a USB cable or turn the key to ACC position and wait for LMDASH to start

⚠️ WARNING! If the screen remains black or the device keeps rebooting once a USB cable is connected, use a higher-power USB source (e.g., a 15W charger) or connect the device to the car. Resume from step 5.

CASE 2: FAILED UPDATE DURING BASE SOFTWARE INSTALLATION (eLMOS)

If, following a failed update, your LMDASH gets stuck at startup with the message PLEASE WAIT:

1 – Try resetting the device by inserting a paperclip into the reset hole located to the left of the screen
2 – If the problem persists, click on the link below and follow the instructions

⚠️ WARNING: THE ACTIVATION CODE WILL BE OVERWRITTEN, THEREFORE CONTACT LMCORSE BEFORE STARTING THE RESTORE PROCEDURE
